let's go for a walk in the sun.

miss aiko honda.

Miss Aiko Honda. Where do I start with Aiko? She's gorgeous, she's Japanese (I wish I was Japanese sometimes), she's so kind, she's so sweet, she's so darn cute :), she's stylish, she has a love for Guinness, she helped Gavin and I plan our trip to Japan, booking buses and hotels for us as we couldn't understand the Japanese websites and when she had to move back to Japan, it was by far one of the saddest days. I was at work when she came in with her suitcase on her way to the airport and I just started crying in front of lots of customers and then Aiko started crying and then the mascara started to run....oh dear. :( we miss her like crazy.

So when Aiko heard the sad news that my kitty, Dj had passed away she sent me the sweetest little gift in the post...

I came home to a fun looking envelope and thought it looked like Aiko's writing with the cutest Japanese stamps on it...

In this little envelope is the most beautiful Japanese fan with a little message from Aiko and her kitty Chai on the back!

How sweet and thoughtful is that! Beautiful. Thank you so much Aiko! xx

let's go on a date honey.

Gavin and I have been dating for just over 2 years and it's been amazing. I think it's very important to keep things fresh so we still like going on dates together. It sounds more exciting than just going out for dinner! We had a lovely time in Little Italy on Byres Road eating tasty pizza..

Then we went to Peckhams for some tasty caramel shortbread and found some amusing things!

We took our caramel shortbread to the park and we weren't the only ones enjoying it!

how cute is this little guy? he was totally fearless too, just wandered over, took the shortbread and walked away!

To end our wonderful date we went for a couple of drinks in a nice wee west end bar and then headed home complete with popcorn to watch a couple of movies snuggled up together on the couch :) x

bye bye wimbledon.

Sadly Wimbeldon is over for another year. No more Nadal tweeking his pants before each serve or strange grunts coming from the women's games. Any of you fans of Wimbledon? I'm not sure why I like it so much although I do find the sound of people playing tennis relaxing. It also reminds me of lovely, sunny summers as child at my auntie's house just outside of London. Or maybe just because it's the start of summer :) Either way I'm sad it's all over. Well done to Andy Murray but of course well done to Novak Djokovic who is now the No.1 seed.
